Hi Stuart, to answer your questions:

1) Would I eat a cigar? Well, that depends. Over at the Alinea at Home food blog, there was an entry on cooking with a cigar infused, uh, cream -like substance? Turned out pretty damn tasty according to her and others. I wouldn't smoke one, however.

2) Would I lick a stone soaked in salt water? Licking a stone soaked in salt water seems pretty okay. When you go to the salt mines in Berchtesgarten you can buy salt rocks to lick on. I've done that. Does that count?

3)Would I eat grass with grapefruit juice? I'd probably eat grass with a LOT of grapefruit juice. There's always that wheat grass stuff. I'd start with that.

I'm gonna check out the wine links. I met a French winemaker on my 500 mile walk. The little stinker not only makes wine, he lives in Provence to boot. Even when the economy sucks, that's not all that bad. Glad to see your new website. Looks very, very fine. ~Deb.

Anyone who takes a $4M/yr business and turns it into a $50M/yr business, and gets his pic in the WSJ before 30, is someone to check out. I dig his approach too. Thanks for introducing me to Gary, Stuuuuugle!

This is an example, I think, of ENGAGEMENT. Social networking isn't going to give you RIAs or engaging content, but can support them. Your stuff has to be rock solid, and provide a definite positive benefit to your readers, before they are going to be interested in linking up with you via social networking...
